Over 70,000 Families in Kalaburagi District Found Without Shelter

Kalaburagi, [Insert Date]: A recent primary survey conducted by the Kalaburagi Zilla Panchayat (ZP) has revealed that more than 70,000 families in the district are without houses or sites, with many forced to live in the homes of relatives. In rural areas, it is common for multiple families to share a single house.

The survey, ordered by the state government, was completed across the district. However, the ZP clarified that the findings are still under review, as some families may have been enrolled multiple times. Once the review is completed, the final report will be submitted to the government.

Kalaburagi ZP CEO Bhanwarsingh Meena said:

“The survey work is completed, and the information is being reviewed before submission to the government. It is necessary to verify whether a family has already benefited from any housing scheme. Only then can houses be allotted under various rural housing schemes.”
