Pride of Kalaburagi: Engineer Kaushik Mudda Invited to President’s Republic Day Banquet

Kaushik Mudda, a young engineer from Kalaburagi and founder of Ethereal Machines, has been invited by Droupadi Murmu to attend the Republic Day Banquet. The official invitation was issued by the President’s Office, marking a proud moment for Kalaburagi and the Kalyana Karnataka region.

At just 32 years of age, Kaushik gained national recognition for inventing a two-way ventilator device during the COVID-19 pandemic. The innovation addressed the critical shortage of ventilators by enabling a single ventilator to supply oxygen to two patients simultaneously, earning widespread appreciation from the medical and scientific community.

In 2018, Narendra Modi personally praised Kaushik for his innovation and also introduced him to the daughter of former US President Donald Trump during her visit to Hyderabad.

Kaushik Mudda, son of Kedarnath Mudda, a native of Kalaburagi, also served as an economic adviser to former Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai during his tenure. His elder brother, Chetan Mudda, is currently working as a Director at Walmart in the United States.

An alumnus of RV College of Engineering, Bengaluru, Kaushik founded Ethereal Machines in Peenya, where the company manufactures and supplies advanced 5D printing machines to the defence and healthcare sectors.

Expressing his pride, Kedarnath Mudda said that Kaushik’s long-term vision is to create employment opportunities for nearly 10,000 youths from the Kalyana Karnataka region, many of whom face unemployment challenges. He added that Kaushik has already generated jobs for over 500 people through his company.
